Kari-Bjørg Ihle
Kari-Bjørg Ile (1932–2024) was a Norwegian painter and textile artist renowned for her contributions to both mediums. Educated at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry and the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts, she gained extensive experience as a textile designer and served as a costume consultant for NRK’s television theater.

Her works are featured in numerous public spaces and collections, including Asker Church, Oslo Municipality’s art collections, and the Norwegian Cultural Council.
Throughout her career, Ile held several solo exhibitions, notably at Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo (1982), and participated in group exhibitions such as the “Nordic Textile Triennial.” Her dedication to exploring color and form has left a lasting impact on Norwegian art.
